Support Christine & Kurt Through Her Breast Cancer Battle

Our family is rallying around my sister-in-law Christine, who has recently been diagnosed with Stage 2, Grade 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma — a hormone-positive form of breast cancer. Christine is facing this challenge with incredible strength and optimism, even as she begins an intensive course of chemotherapy that will continue through September.

After chemo, Christine will undergo a double mastectomy , then begin radiation. After that is completed she will need to be on hormone therapy for 5-10 years — brave and preventative steps to ensure she never has to go through this fight again. Despite everything, her positivity and grace continue to inspire all of us.

As you can imagine, this journey comes with not only emotional and physical challenges but significant financial stress. From travel expenses for ongoing treatments, time off work for both Christine and her husband Kurt, to out-of-pocket medical costs not covered by insurance — the burden adds up quickly.

Kurt has been a pillar of support, taking on both parenting and household roles so Christine can rest and focus on healing. Friends and family have stepped up to help with childcare and house cleaning, but we want to ease the financial strain as well.

This fundraiser is a way to give back to Christine and Kurt — to support them in this fight, help cover costs, and allow them to focus on what truly matters: Christine’s health, recovery, and time together as a family.
