Hi Everyone,

We’ve signed up to a series of running events between July and Nov 2023 on behalf of our beautiful friend Marianne who passed away from a rare form of cancer at the height of the Covid pandemic aged 32.

Those who knew our Marianne would describe her as one of the kindest, most caring and beautiful souls on this earth - literally a ray of positive sunshine who is so deeply missed by all of us who loved her so much.

Marianne’s chosen charity and the charity we are fundraising for is called Willow.

Willow was founded in 1999 by former Arsenal goalkeeper and TV presenter, Bob Wilson and his wife, Megs, as a lasting memorial to their daughter, Anna, who died of cancer aged 31.

Willow is the only national charity working with seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds to fulfil uplifting and unforgettable Special Days. Each day is a life-affirming experience that can lift spirits, reunify families and be a source of strength when it is needed most.
