#TeamNUH for Myanmar earthquake donation
Donation protected
Dear all, my name is Yamin who is working as a biomedical scientist in Haematology and Blood Transfusion Department of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. On 28th March 2025, a very powerful earthquake of 7.7 magnitude struck my home country, Myanmar at 12: 50 pm local time (06:20 am UK time). It caused severe destruction in multiple cities such as Sagaing, Mandalay and Naypyidaw, which are near the epic centre of earthquake, including the collapse of buildings, significant damage to the infrastructure such as roads and bridges. There have been many casualties affected by the earthquake with the death tolls increasing daily and the search for living and dead people from the collapsed buildings are still ongoing. In response to this tragedy, I would like to ask you all to come together as TEAM NUH and to contribute any amount of donations to help those affected by this disaster. I would appreciate every donation no matter how big or small as your kindness matters the most and your donations will make a significant impact on the lives of people who have been affected by this devastating earthquake. I will make sure that all the donated money goes to victims affected by the earthquake. My mother kindly volunteers to travel to the affected place and to directly hand over the donated money to the earthquake victims despite her old age and challenge in transportation to go to the affected city, Mandalay. I will keep you all updated with how your donated money is used. Thank you very much for being helping hands to the need in my home country.
