Nugget's Fight for Life- Please Help!

Hi, my name is Renee and I am raising donations for my dog Nugget, my best friend. I've always donated to GoFundMe's, never imagining that I would be someone having to write a story. I'm a personal trainer and most of my days are on repeat. I train my clients, friends, and I work out. The rest of my day I spend with Nugget, taking her for a walk or relaxing on the couch watching the newest Korean drama.

Nugget is an American Bull Terrier and 7 years old. I was blessed to get her at 7 weeks. She is a strong, shredded girl, eating healthier than most of us. She is sweet, sensitive, and submissive. She is nurturing and loving by nature. She is funny. She has the sweetest face, most expressive eyes, and facial expressions.

Last night, I woke up around 1 a.m. Nugget was awake and attempting to jump off the bed but couldn't. I carried her and quickly realized something was wrong. She couldn't walk straight. She was disoriented. I noticed bright green feces outside. I called her name and could tell she was confused. I grabbed her and ran out the door, putting her in the back of my car. I drove fast with the flashers on, knowing I didn't have time to waste.

7 minutes later, I arrived at the VCA Emergency Veterinary Services carrying Nugget, and I was covered in green feces. The doctor believed the green feces was a sign of rat poisoning. We induced vomiting, and a green chunk of rat poisoning arose. Nugget's bloodwork came back normal, which sounds great to hear. However, Nugget consumed the worst possible poison, which is Bromethalin. This poison affects the brain, causing brain swelling. It can possibly cause seizures, paralysis, a coma, or, worst-case scenario, become fatal.

As I am writing this, Nugget has been at the Emergency Vet for 12 hours. So far, her medical bill is $5137. That is an estimate if she is able to leave tomorrow afternoon. The doctor said she will more than likely be hospitalized for days.

More than anything, I am asking for thoughts, prayers, and strength for Nugget. Please send her a thought and some well wishes!
