Supporting the Wendt Family

On October 23rd, Elisabeth Wendt, went in for a routine scan at 35weeks gestation for her twin girls who were due to be delivered a week later. During the scan, her doctors discovered that one of the twins, Dorothy Joanne, had passed away unexpectedly. This has been a heartbreaking loss for the entire family.  Our primary goal is to ensure Elisabeth and her husband, Jay, are able to care for their two older girls, Maggie and Tallula, and their newborn Georgina Rebecca, while also allowing Elisabeth time to physically heal and emotionally grieve. With no paid parental leave available at either of their jobs, the financial stress on top of this already tragic loss is more than any family should have to endure. Our hope is that this community can come together to help enable Bet & Jay time to grieve, heal and support each other in order to eventually allow joy to seep in and fill the spaces.
