This isn’t something we ever imagined having to do, but we’re reaching out for help as we try to rebuild our kitchen and repair the severe damage left behind by a contractor we trusted. What was supposed to be a simple remodel has turned into a heartbreaking and costly situation.

We hired someone who promised to complete our kitchen in just a few weeks back in August. Instead, they tore out part of a load bearing wall, destroyed the electrical wiring, and left our home unsafe and unfinished. After bringing in an inspector, we learned that our flooring, electrical, foundation, and structural supports all need major repairs to make our home safe again. We’ve already invested thousands into this project, but now face an additional $22,000 in damages just to fix what’s been ruined and bring everything back up to code it was originally at.

Right now, we have no functioning kitchen or living area, and parts of our home simply aren’t safe to use. We’re doing everything we can to start over and are in the process of pursuing legal action, but that takes time and we don’t have the means to cover the repairs while we wait.
