Tod@s estamos viviendo la misma pandemia del CoVid, y sabemos por propia experiencia que es un proceso que toma su tiempo. Cuando una pandemia de estas características llega a un país como India sin buenas infraestructuras, todo empieza a colapsar. Los hospitales siguen sin disponer de camas y nuestros guías comparten con nosotros que cada día les llega la noticia de algún conocido que se ha despedido del mundo por el Covid.
Vivimos esta situación con los corazones partidos desde lejos. La situación de nuestros guías y sus familias es muy preocupante, llevan más de un año sin ingresos, para ellos el mundo se ha parado. El turismo en India se ha paralizado, sin la mínima idea de cuándo volverá a haber trabajo para ellos. Hasta ahora han podido aguantar de alguna manera, también ayudados por la generosidad de nuestra comunidad viajera y de los viajes virtuales que hacemos. Pero la situación ha empeorado y es muy delicada: India se encuentra en confinamiento total y la situación económica es caótica.
Tal como lo dicen en el video, Sandeep, Esha o Jonny, nuestros guías, acuden a nosotros para pedirnos de todo corazón ayuda económica para que ellos y sus familias puedan seguir adelante. Los tres son el sostén económico de sus familias, familias extensas que comprenden muchas veces más de 3 generaciones. Tras más de un año sin trabajo y con pocos ingresos, no están pudiendo ya responder a las necesidades básicas.
Cuando visitamos India, ellos hacen todo lo posible y mucho más, para que nosotras disfrutemos de nuestra aventura, atendiendo nuestras necesidades. Ahora son ellos quienes nos necesitan.

We are all experiencing the same CoVid pandemic, and we know from our own experience that it is a process that takes time. When a pandemic of these kind reaches a country like India without good infrastructures, everything begins to collapse. Hospitals do not have enough beds, there s no oxygen or local assistance. Every day our guides share with us sad news regarding relatives who passed away due to the CoVid.
We live this situation from the distance with broken hearts. The condition of our guides and their families is extremely disturbing: they have no jobs or income since more than a year. Somehow for them the world has stopped. Tourism in India has come to a standstill and there are no perspectives soon to start working again. So far, they have been able to hold out in some way, also helped by the generosity of our traveling community and the virtual trips we organize. But the situation has worsened and is very delicate: India is in total confinement and the economic situation is chaotic.
As they say in the video, Sandeep, Esha or Jonny, our guides, come to us to ask us with all their hearts for financial help so that they and their families can move forward. All three are the breadwinners of their families, which are often extended families that comprise more than 3 generations. After more than a year without work and with little income, they are no longer able to meet basic needs.
When we visit India, they do everything in their hands to attend our needs during the trip and allow us to enjoy an experience that give us lifetime memories. Now they are the ones who need us and is our turn to give back.
We are thankful for your generous donation to this cause. Every small contribution will make a difference to these families. Any help from our side will allowed them to cope with the difficult situation that India is going through. No one knows how long it may last.
