Right now, as immigration enforcement continues to impact families across our communities, the uncertainty can be sudden and devastating.

Our friend Leo, a member of Denver’s Latine community and the mountain biking community, is currently being detained by ICE. Leo is a hardworking, kind, and dedicated person who has always shown up for the people around him. Now, he needs us to show up for him.

Leo is the primary financial support for his mother and his 15-year-old sister. He works hard not just to build his own future, but to make sure his family is safe and supported.

On January 4, 2026, Leo was pulled over on his way to Apex Park. He was arrested and held until January 6, when he was told that the arrest had been a mistake and that he was being released. As Leo walked out, believing the ordeal was over, ICE agents were waiting outside. He was immediately detained again.

Leo is now being held in an immigration detention center.

This sudden and devastating situation has turned his life—and his family’s—upside down. Leo urgently needs legal representation, and the costs of an immigration attorney are far beyond what his family can manage alone.
