Lymphoma Action
If you’ve spent more than 2 minutes in my company in the last few months you’ll know I’m running the Hackney Half on the 19th of May.
Sadly, a few months ago one of my dearest friends Jess had her life turned upside down and was diagnosed with Lymphoma. For those that have met Jess, you’ll know that she’s one in a million. She truly is the biggest ray of sunshine, words will never be enough to do justice in explaining how fantastic she is. It is utterly heartbreaking that she is having to go through this, especially at such a young age. Jess is now towards the end of her treatment process but obviously there is still a journey ahead. It’s been an incredibly difficult few months for Jess and she has continuously had to speak up and fight for the care she needs and deserves.
Lymphoma Action is a charity who are on a mission to ensure people understand lymphoma and educate them on it (including healthcare professionals), empower those with lymphoma and to be a voice for those affected. They also carry out valuable research into why lymphoma happens and what we can do to stop it.
I signed up for the half marathon last year before this happened.
But now I’d love to raise some money for Lymphoma Action so that they can continue the work they are doing. If you are able to donate anything it would be massively appreciated.
