Hello family and friends,

As some of you may already know, my mother, Erika, was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She is a 45 year old single mother of five, with her two youngest children being just 12 and 7 years old, still living at home.

After many doctor appointments and difficult decisions regarding her treatment, it was determined that the best option is for her to receive chemotherapy in Seattle, which is more than two hours away from home. This has added significant emotional, physical, and financial strain.

Despite everything, my mom continues to work a few days a week at the hospital. Unfortunately, the side effects of chemotherapy and ongoing pain have caused her to miss a great deal of work. Between medical bills, transportation, lodging in Seattle, and everyday expenses, the weight of it all has become overwhelming.

My mom has been a CNA for over 20 years, dedicating her life to caring for others. She is outgoing, loving, and selfless, an incredible mother and grandmother who cherishes time with her family. Asking for help has never been easy for her, but during this time, support of any kind truly makes a difference.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help ease some of the financial stress so she can focus fully on her health, healing, and spending precious time with her children and loved ones.

Hola familia y amigos, como algunos de ustedes ya saben, a mi madre Erika le diagnosticaron cáncer en etapa 4. Ella tiene 45 años y es madre soltera de 5 hijos, siendo los dos más pequeños de 12 y 7 años.

Después de muchas citas médicas y de decidir el mejor plan de tratamiento, supimos que la mejor opción era que recibiera quimioterapia en Seattle, lo cual está a más de 2 horas de nuestro hogar.

Ella aún sigue trabajando en el hospital algunos días a la semana. Lamentablemente, debido a la quimioterapia, los efectos secundarios y el dolor, ha tenido que faltar mucho al trabajo.

Mi mamá ha sido CNA por más de 20 años, siempre cuidando de los demás. Es una mujer cariñosa, sociable y amorosa. Disfruta pasar tiempo con la familia y es una madre y abuela increíble.

Ahora se siente abrumada con su tratamiento, las cuentas médicas, el transporte y las estadías en Seattle. Pedir ayuda no es fácil, pero en este momento cualquier tipo de apoyo hace una gran diferencia. Por eso estamos lanzando este GoFundMe para ayudar a aliviar parte del estrés financiero.
