A devastating Category 5 hurricane has struck Jamaica — leaving entire communities in ruins. Homes have been flattened, families displaced, and many areas remain without power, communication, or access to basic supplies.

Places like St. Elizabeth and Westmoreland have suffered unimaginable destruction, while communities in Montego Bay, Trelawny, and St. Ann’s Parish are struggling quietly without the media attention they desperately need. We will be dealing with those directly effected and charity workers will be collecting the donations in Jamaica to distribute to those in need.

Right now, people are in darkness — literally — with no electricity, no safe water, and no way to call for help. This is extremely dangerous and we want to do all we can to help as a community.

Who We Are

I am Marcia Marquis the owner of Passion Food, a Jamaican-owned takeaway restaurant in Nottingham. We are standing together with our community to support Jamaicans back home who have been seriously effected by hurricane Melissa on Tuesday 28th October 2025.

For two days, we are turning our takeaway into a donation hub — collecting clothing, food, and essentials to pack into barrels and ship directly to Kingston, where trusted charitable groups on the ground will distribute the aid to families most affected.

But barrels, shipping, and logistics all cost money — and we cannot do this alone.
