The Sellers family

Hello Friends,

I am reaching out to you on behalf of a person I treasure deeply. We met in 1990 as undergrads at the University of Newcastle. Truthfully, I fell for her the moment our eyes met and she became my very first proper girlfriend.

Elizabeth Sellers (Graham), her husband Matt, and 13 year old daughter urgently need financial assistance.

Seven weeks ago, Elizabeth began experiencing loss of control over her right hand. On July 30th, this family was shattered by a shock diagnosis detailing a sizable and rapidly growing tumour on her brain, affecting the right side of her body and speech. Surgical intervention took place on Friday, 9th of July. Elizabeth remains in hospital where rehabilitation is underway. Unfortunately, the results of pathology testing indicate a stage 4 primary aggressive brain tumour. Treating it won't start for at least another week or so while her scar heals. She will be in hospital for some time yet.

Elizabeth has been a devoted stay-at-home Mum, and so Matt, a TAFE teacher, is their sole provider of financial support. They rent in Marrickville where their child attends a local school.

There has been no time to accrue savings, and Matt simply won't be able to work whilst caring for his family.

Since I met Elizabeth, I have been collecting 50 cent pieces - the specially released commemorative edition kind. There must be over 3000 coins and so I will kick-start this appeal by pledging them.
