NTMWD Flood Victims

Donation protected
A 72” water main ruptured in the middle of a Richardson, TX neighborhood on Thursday, August 30, 2018, leaving over a dozen homes with extensive damage. The homes directly in front of the water main (“Ground Zero”) were hit with a three foot wave of water that did not subside for over 90 minutes. The runoff from the back-flow then continued for 4 1/2 more hours pumping an addition 65 Million gallons of water into the homes and neighborhood. Some residents had to be water rescued from their homes and feared electrocution. Several homeowners have been denied by their insurance, despite thinking they would be covered for this catastrophic event. The North Texas Water District is hiding behind sovereign immunity leaving these homeowners without help.

This fundraiser is for the families who are getting NO HELP at all from their insurance company (whom they counted on) or from NTMWD. Please help them by donating so they can make the repairs needed to their homes and get back on their feet.

All monies collected will go to only to the victims who have been denied insurance coverage and according to their loss. Any size donation is greatly appreciated, please click on the "Donate" button below.
