Help Me Catch Up & Keep Making Art

Hello there! My name is Novel and I’m a professional artist living in Colorado.

Getting to brass tacks, I have had an icredibly difficult year. It began with catching Covid and persisting Long Covid symptoms, (extreme brain fog), shortly after my then-partner severely injured themselves and I was caretaker for two months.

However, I’ve generally been in a situation where I have been shouldering responsibilities beyond my own for years. In September, I finally broke down from the burnout.

I am currently splitting from my long term partner, it is amicable, but we collectively have a lot of owed bills and debt we are trying to catch up on. We are facing possible eviction, and my once excellent credit has been destroyed by this situation.

It’s hard for me to ask for help and not feel like this whole situation is my fault. Due to these life changes I am recovering and working fulltime again. However, I am so behind on things that I am very limited in how much new work I can take on for the time being. I have debt collectors calling me everyday, my car has almost been repo’d.

I just want to get to a stable point again so I can keep making more artwork - if things keep going like this I might end up living out of my car. I have never faced any of these situations before.

Honestly not expecting the full goal, as it’s quite lofty, but any amount would help right now.

I am also intending to grab the new Covid booster ASAP (my clinic is waiting to receive them), hopeful that it might help relieve the long covid cogitive difficulties I’ve also been having. As you can imagine, my work takes a lot of mental focus.
