Hope for Harrison
Harrison is a happy, football-loving 14 year old. He was fit, healthy and enjoyed all sports and fishing. He was doing very well at Verulam Boys School including working towards his Duke of Edinburgh Award.

On the 26th January 2015 his life changed. During a PE lesson, he collapsed, suffering a massive stroke which came completely out of the blue. Childhood stroke is rare, affecting around 5 out of every 100,000 children. In some cases, like Harrison’s, there is no apparent cause.

The stroke caused damage to the left side of Harrison’s brain and he was admitted to Great Ormond Street hospital where his family had an agonising week-long wait for the swelling on his brain to reduce in order that his life was no longer in danger.

Thankfully Harrison’s condition is improving, he is currently unable to walk or talk and has now been in hospital for more than five weeks. Harrison has been incredibly good-natured and determined at the start of his very long road to recovery.

Please show your support for Harrison and his family by donating what you can. Any funds raised will be used to support Harrison’s rehabilitation and help to make his life and that of his family better.

Thanks for your support.
