Help the Clarkson Bataan Death march team raise money to travel to New Mexico and support the Bataan death march annual memorial ruck and food drive. Three months after the start of the Battle of Bataan during World War II, the Bataan Death March began. The Imperial Japanese Army forced 75,000 Filipino and American prisoners of war (POW) to march through the Philippines. The route was 65 miles long and stretched from the peninsula to the railhead inland. Between 5,000-18,000 Filipino and Americans died on the march. Every year there is a memorial ruck at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico in honor of the survivors and the soldiers who lost their lives.
