Hi my name is Fiona, the girl who rescued the cat who was hit by a truck. One week ago, I was on a morning walk when I crossed paths with a small grey cat on the sidewalk.

Just moments later, I heard the most horrific sound of my life.. he had been hit by a truck. Without hesitation, I ran into the road, stopped traffic, and scooped him up. Another woman who saw it happen told me there was a vet clinic just minutes away.

I carried him there as he dug his claws into my sweater. The incredible veterinary team immediately took him in, administered pain medication, and performed an X ray. They gently warned me they weren’t sure he’d survive the weekend.

But he fought.

A few days later, I got the call.. he had made it through and was ready for a forever home. I didn’t hesitate. I adopted him. I drove 2 hours back to muskoka and he came to his forever home ❤️
