Urgent Help Needed After Eviction and Hurricane Francine
In the midst of preparing for evacuation due to Hurricane Francine, my partner and I received devastating news: we are being evicted from our apartment for unknowingly violating the pet policy. An estranged family member informed our landlord about the foster kittens we've been caring for, as the local shelters are overwhelmed and we couldn’t find homes for them in time. This heartbreaking turn of events has left us confused and scared, as we now face the challenge of relocating on top of everything else.
We are currently staying with friends, but we urgently need help to cover the costs of paying off our lease, handling eviction fees, securing a deposit for a new home, renting a moving van, and transporting our belongings. Additionally, we need to ensure our cats can travel safely as we relocate six hours away.
Any amount of support—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing our story—means the world to us as we navigate this difficult time. We are incredibly grateful for your kindness and help during this crisis. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and support us.
