I never thought I would ever have to do this, until our home burned down yesterday. My husband and I are typically the people that jump to help others. I'm swallowing every bit of pride I have to ask others for help.

Several years ago, my husband and I purchased a major fixer-upper with the intent to fix it up and live in it. Then COVID happened, and we had our son during the lockdown, followed by my husband injuring his back and having a spinal fusion. As a result, he is now permanently disabled. Through all this, we had been living in a 5th wheel camper on our property. Today, we have a burnt shell of a camper and a home that was luckily saved but still has a long way to go before it is habitable.

I'm praying that we can find a rental to stay in while we try to get help in fixing our home.
