Urgent Surgery Needed to Help Rhiana Extend her Life
Three years ago Rhiana was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, after a swollen, red eye did not resolve. This diagnosis came as a enormous shock, only to be told it was inoperable was totally devastating. Her family have exhausted all of their funds, to afford her previous surgeries which thankfully extended her life beyond her initial bleak prognosis. Without another operation theres is no hope for beautiful Rhiana. Unfortunately Perth doctors do not have the resources, or know how to trial experimental surgery needed to attempt to save her life.
This surgery is urgently required. The only person skilled and willing to operate on Rhiana's complex case is Eastern States based Australian surgeon Charlie Teo. Charlie specialises in brain surgeries that other medical professionals will not perform. Sadly, this type of ‘last chance’ surgery is not covered by Medicare. Charlie really is the last opportunity to extend her life.
Why am i doing this? Rhiana was previously a client of mine, at my beauty salon where we first met. She once broke down during a treatment with me, which left me absolutely crushed as I considered her situation. Rhiana’s fight and strength touched my heart and I feel compelled to help this beautiful kind soul anyway I can. Both Rhiana and her family find themselves financially and emotionally exhausted.
I ask the public for prays and donations. I hope she may have the experimental surgery needed to give her a chance. $100,000 is required to cover surgery (which is not covered my Medicare), theatre costs, travel and accommodation costs to the Eastern States.
This has been a trying year for many, yet what Rhiana is going through puts a great deal of this into perspective. If you have been contemplating giving a gift this Christmas that truly means something, please consider making a donation to the Go Fund Me page created for Rhiana.
