Surgery was a Success
Buster is my dapple dachshund. When I adopted Buster, he had litterally been tossed out like garbage. Buster and his girlfriend and their puppies were found in a landfill, and thankfully I got the call and rescued them. I found homes for all except Buster who was so sick due to heartworms. It took over a year to get Buster healthy enough to breathe normal, however, the damage to his heart valves was already done. Recently, Buster was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and his heart is three times normal size. He has less than a year to live per the vet. Busters medication costs $168.00 per month, and his special food is about $100.00 per month.
Just 7 days after Buster was diagnosed with congestive heart failure, Max (my red dachshund) was diagnosed with right Ventricular Failure. (the right side of his heart has failed)
Max is in need of emergency surgery to help repair the right side of his heart before that side of the heart dies. The specialist is at Texas A&M vet clinic.
The surgery for Max could cost upwards of $4000.00 if there are no complications. This surgery will save his life - without it, he will have less than a year to live.
I am heart-broken that I will be losing Buster and it will be extremely hard to take if I also lose Max in the same time frame.
I am on a limited income and cannot come up with the cost of Max's surgery by November, so I am pleading with all to help Max and Buster.
Your donations will go towards the upwards of $4000.00 for the surgery and the $168.00 per month for medicine for Buster each month and the $125.00 per month for Max's medication.
I thank you all for your help and Max and Buster thank you as well.
God Bless all of you who love and help our four-legged babies!
