TPLO Surgery

Hi, my name is Sia and I need your help to pay for my dog Franky’s surgery. Franky is a four-year-old mixed-breed dog that I adopted from Texas when he was just over a year old. He is my best friend and companion, and he has been with me through thick and thin.
Recently, I noticed that Franky was limping and avoiding putting pressure on his right hind leg. I took him to the vet and the X-ray results showed that he has a torn CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) in his knee joint. This is a serious injury that causes pain and instability in the leg and can lead to arthritis and other complications if left untreated. He needs surgery to repair the ligament and restore his mobility and quality of life.
The surgery is not cheap, though. The best option and affordable I found is a reputable clinic that charges $4,300 for the procedure, including all the medication, post-surgery X-rays, and follow-up visits for eight weeks. This is more than I can afford right now, as I have been unemployed since June 2022 due to visa issues. Detail of charges: TPLO ($2,014.72), Anesthesia Sevoflurane Inhalant - 150 minutes ($675.0), Surgery Nurse - 3 hours ($300), Nocita ($250), Radiographs Initial Study ($240), Antibiotic Injections - three ($150), Pain Injection Opiate - 2 injections ($130), Anesthetic Induction and Endotracheal Tube Placement ($100), IV Catheter Setup and Maintenance ($95), IV Fluid Therapy ($80), Pain Injection NSAID - 1 injection ($65), Carprofen 75mg Caplets - 60 tablets ($64.20), Nerve Block ($50), Hydromorphone Tablets -4mg ($31.48), E-Collar ($30), Cephalexin Caps - 500mg ($24.60), Radiographs Post Surgery ($0 - free), Cerenia Injection ($0 - free), Post-surgery visit and check-up - Three ($0 - free), Total = $4,300.0)
I am an environmental engineer with a graduate degree and over six years of experience in my field. However, I cannot work legally in the US because my work visa expired, and I could not renew it. I have an approved green card application, but I cannot apply for it because they changed the law shortly before my case was approved. Since then, I have been living on my savings and getting help from my family and friends. I have been applying for every job that I can get my hands on, but nothing has worked out so far.
Living on savings with inflation has been difficult to the point that I sold my car in June 2023. My sister-in-law gave me their extra car so that I can handle the commute and necessary things. Unfortunately, I am almost down to all my money by now, especially after the recent ~$1,000 vet and consultation bills to diagnose Franky’s condition. I applied for a CareCredit card after my vet introduced me to it, and got $2,500 of credit, of which $750 has already been used up. I have $1,000 left that I can spend, but the rest of my money is completely budgeted to meet the minimum day-to-day necessities, such as food, utility, rent, etc.
I am asking for $3,300 to cover the remaining cost of Franky’s surgery. This is the only way I can help him get the treatment he needs before it gets any worse and he loses his ability to walk or suffers from constant pain. Franky is not just a pet to me; he is a family member and a loyal friend. He deserves a chance to live a happy and healthy life.
Please consider donating whatever you can to help me and Franky out. Every little bit counts and will make a difference. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
