This was how my mom looked before this cancer took it's toll on both my parents! Here's a little of my mom's life and her struggles that took the most amazing mother, wife, grandmother, and sister ever from us way too soon! My mom was only 58 when we lost her on April 5, 2016. She was diagnosed with multiple myloma about a year ago after going to the ER with severe back pain. The cancer had started eating her spine away and her bones so weak they'd fracture if she moved wrong. Then about 5 months ago on a trip for treatment to The Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston was diagnosed with another cancer! Plasma cell leukemia so rare Boston had only seen 1 other case besides my mom. The cancer ate her spine away that she went from 5'5" to 5'! Her chemo treatments had her immune system wiped out. On March 25,2016 my Dad woke up to hearing my mom struggling to breathe and barely responsive. They rushed her to the hospital in route she coded and my dad performed CPR. when they arrived she had to be revived again and was put on a ventilator then transported to another hospital. She had contacted the H1N1 FLU. She fought hard and my dad for 10 days NEVER LEFT HER SIDE! but on April 5,2016 she went to be with God. My parents were married July 7,1977 and were inseparable. They were soul mates! My Dad took care of her day and night when she got her diagnosis. Both were unable to work and SSI denied my mom!!! My Dad was her full time caregiver till the end! No one in our family has any extra money and we're all barely scraping by! Any savings my parents had were eaten up by travel costs, bills, lodging expenses for my dad to stay with her, ect. My Mom ALWAYS MADE SURE WE ALWAYS CAME FIRST! She was always willing to help even a stranger if she could! PLEASE HELP MY FAMILY GIVE MY MOM THE PROPER BURIAL SHE DESERVES! EVERY DOLLAR HELPS! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Anything extra will go to help my Dad who stood by her side and couldn't work to help him pay the bills that they're so far behind on because of all this.
