Support Ian’s fight against Synovial Sarcoma

Donation protected
Hi my name is Nadia, I am Ian’s wife. Almost a week ago we learned that Ian has a tumor on his heart. We don’t know yet if it is cancerous but the road ahead will either involve open heart surgery or chemotherapy, possibly a heart transplant. This is a very uncertain time for us. Please keep us in your thoughts and share this gofundme, any donations would be greatly appreciated. Our Story: Ian and I met as sophomores in high school, we instantly hit it off and began dating at 15 years old. By 17 we were living together and at 19, we were married. We are a month apart apart in age and have been there for one another through some really tough times, this is just another one of those times. In 2018 we did a small renovation together, turning a garage into our bedroom and we were hooked from there. We bonded over building together, I discovered how much I love making furniture and he discovered how much he loves being handy. We had banh mi everyday and just an overall great time through it all, listening to music, talking about life, demolishing drywall. We made a lot of fond memories and got a much more spacious bedroom in the end! A word of advice my grandma had given me was if your relationship can survive a renovation, then it can survive anything. Not long after that we moved and got to work again on a new project. There was a large garage on my dad’s property, this time we were a bit more ambitious and wanted to turn it into a one bedroom house for ourselves. I designed the floor plan and built our island table and worked on the house during the day while Ian worked, then at night we worked on it together. We did this for months, we never grew tired of each others company. Before: During:And After:Once we were moved in I decided to go back to college and pursued my degree in Child Development. I began working in a preschool and learned how much I love working with kids. After about a year, Ian got an opportunity for promotion and relocation to Olympia, Washington. Despite the timing not being perfect, it was too good for us to turn down. In September of 2022 he moved up to Olympia and it was first time in both of our lives we would be living alone. I stayed to finish my degree and we wanted to get a house in that time so we could keep our pets. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats. It was really hard living apart and the loneliness got to us both, but we kept going because we knew it would all be worth it once we were living out our dream. I finished my degree and we closed on our new house in May of 2023, we were set to move into our house 2 weeks from now. This brings us to where we are now, when Ian arrived at the hospital I bought the first ticket up to Washington. I bought my ticket, packed a bag, and left for the airport within a 20 minute span and got here in about 6 hours. We have been staying together in the hospital since and he has undergone a lot of tests and scans and been inundated with drugs and IVs to keep him stable. He has been stable now for about 2 days and we are awaiting biopsy results to see what his treatment plan will be.
