My dear friends and family, I have created this Gofundme page in support of our dear Sea.

For the past decade, I have witnessed my sibling undergo hundreds of painful and invasive dental procedures. Sea, was born with a progressive periodontal condition that has resulted in the unrelenting and gradual loss of their teeth.

Just last year I received a call from Sea expressing that a procedure they had undergone failed for the third time, resulting in the unexpected and complete loss of their front tooth. They went on to cheerily explain that they were practicing smiling and talking to themselves in the mirror because they still had to show up to do their good work, and how lucky they were to still have their other teeth. I was in total awe of their optimism as my heart sank and my eyes welled with tears.

Sea lives a life of service. Many of you know them as a dedicated Waldorf Teacher, Arts Director, Community Organizer, Bringer of Ceremony and Creative Force of Nature!

You would never know it or guess that they have been managing chronic pain, trouble eating, immense social anxiety and financial overwhelm for the majority of their life.

I am putting out this call so that we can pour into them, the way they pour into us.

The time has come for them to have their remaining teeth removed and double arch implanted bridges put in their place. These procedures can no longer be delayed.

Because the severity of their condition is often only seen in elders, insurance coverage is nonexistent. All of their health expenses have been, and will continue to be, paid out of pocket.

Please keep Sea in your prayers, as they undergo preparations for their upcoming surgical procedures.
