Hello! My name is Ryan Bae, and I’m an undergraduate film student at Johns Hopkins University. I’m in the preproduction phase of my capstone film, 아버지 (Father), and I’d love your support.

The story follows a Korean-American man who must reconcile his memories of resentment and love after the sudden death of his father. The film centers on themes of barriers of culture, language, and repression through which the protagonist must navigate. You can read more details in the pitch deck below!

This project is a culmination of my academic and emotional journey that I have undergone over the last four years – I hope to create a film that is as touching as it was for me to write.
