Fund Sparky's Landing
The Need:
Sparky the Dragon Oven needs a home. Ray Cirino, Sparky’s designer and creator is building a stone terrace befitting a dragon king for future generations to enjoy. The Jackrabbit Project is asking for donations for Ray to hire stone workers who can help him build the structure from boulders and stones already existing in an on-site rock quarry.
The Artist:
Ray Cirino built Sparky, a metal mobile Dragon pizza oven 10 years ago. Sparky and Ray have fed and entertained thousands of people at countless outdoor events in Southern California over the years and this has made Sparky a popular favorite when it comes to outdoor kitchen magic. Now Ray has moved to a permanent location and is eager to give Sparky a well-deserved and final ‘dock’ to continue their combined legacy.
The Jackrabbit Project:
Ray Cirino, Aaron Lenox and Chuck Cirino are organizers of The Jackrabbit Project. Our mission is to showcase the best of permaculture design and natural building methods as we develop a healthy relationship with the land and all its inhabitants, honoring the ones who came before us.
Location:
Jackrabbit is located near Olancha, California in the Owens Valley.
