Hi, my name is Liliana and I’m fundraising for Eddie. He is my oldest son and he is battling cancer for the 4th time. This battle started when he was 11 years old. He was treated the first time in Mexico City, the disease returned 7 years later; he started the treatment in Mexico but it didn’t work so the doctor said it was better to treat him in Houston. We went there, and started treatment at the Methodist Hospital, he had 18 chemotherapy treatments and was clean from the cancer. The doctors recommended a bone marrow transplant for consolidate the treatment. After three months, he had a PETScan and he had metastases in his left lung and in the 5th rib of the same side. He received CARTCell treatment and after 18 Chemos he was again clean. On December of last year he had some skin lesions on his fingers. He was treated with antibiotics, antivirals, and nothin worked. He had a biopsy of his fingers but the tissue appeared normal. Then he had his PETScan again and the cancer came back. But this time the hospital told him the last treatment he received will not work for him, so they suggested to go to a specialized hospital,(MDAnderson Cancer Center). To check his files the hospital is asking us for $50,000.- usd, and to start the treatment the hospital is asking for another $100,000.- usd, but his insurance doesn’t cover this institution. That’s why I’m asking for your help, because time is going on and he is not receiving any treatment. Thank you and have a nice day.

Hola, me llamo Liliana y estoy recaudando fondos para Eddie. Es mi hijo mayor y está luchando contra el cáncer por cuarta vez. Esta batalla comenzó cuando tenía 11 años. Fue tratado por primera vez en la Ciudad de México, la enfermedad regresó 7 años después; comenzó el tratamiento en México, pero no funcionó, por lo que el médico dijo que era mejor tratarlo en Houston. Fuimos allí y comenzamos el tratamiento en el Hospital Metodista, tenía 18 tratamientos de quimioterapia y estaba limpio del cáncer. Los médicos recomendaron un trasplante de médula ósea para consolidar el tratamiento. Después de tres meses, tuvo un PETScan y metástasis en el pulmón izquierdo y en la quinta costilla del mismo lado. Recibió tratamiento con CARTCell y después de 18 Chemos volvió a estar limpio. En diciembre del año pasado tenía algunas lesiones en la piel en los dedos. Fue tratado con antibióticos, antivirales y nada funcionó. Le hicieron una biopsia de los dedos, pero el tejido parecía normal. Luego volvió a tener su PETScan y el cáncer volvió. Pero esta vez el hospital le dijo que el último tratamiento que recibió no funcionaría para él, por lo que le sugirieron que fuera a un hospital especializado (MDAnderson Cancer Center). Para revisar sus archivos, el hospital nos está pidiendo $50,000.- usd, y para comenzar el tratamiento, el hospital está pidiendo otros $100,000.- usd, pero su seguro no cubre esta institución. Por eso te pido ayuda, porque el tiempo está pasando y él no está recibiendo ningún tratamiento.
