Bailey Hussey is a 28-year-old, loving wife and supportive friend who lives in Asheboro as a nurse manager of two units. She was recently diagnosed with breast cancer on May 2nd. Grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma. She is beginning preparation for chemotherapy, which includes an MRI, echocardiogram, blood work, port placement surgery, and fertility preparation and harvesting of eggs (this is due to the chance of becoming infertile following chemotherapy.) She will then begin six cycles of two chemotherapies and two immunotherapies. She will then drop two chemotherapies and continue with two immunotherapies every three weeks for a year. Following that, Bailey will undergo surgery and possible radiation. And hopefully, after that, she will continue out a year of the targeted immunotherapy.

We would ask first that all of you would pray for Bailey and her family as she begins treatments in the next few weeks. Specifically, pray that she responds well and can continue the treatment plan. Pray for them as they continue to trust the Lord and lean on Him for guidance and wisdom these next several months.

She has spent years as a nurse taking care of others, most recently as a nurse mentor during the COVID pandemic. We want to give back to Bailey and her family as she has given so much to others. We would also like to assist her and her family by raising money to help with medical expenses that will incur and allow you to be a blessing to the Husseys by giving to them financially.
