"For the love of the Game"

My son Luke fell in love with the game of Baseball at the age of 4 years old. Luke has played every year since. From recreational baseball to All-Star teams to Travel and School Baseball. He has worked hard over the years to improve his pitching and is a power hitter! Baseball has become an outlet for him and has passion for the game. He strives to want to grow and challenge himself. I have watched him grow into such a wonderful respectful young man who maintains good grades at school, healthy relationships with friends and teachers and his elders. Luke has a dream to play baseball through college and is also wanting to become an umpire next year to help pay for his baseball. As a proud single mother who works as much as I can and continues to be present at all his games is a blessing. As Luke continues on this path of wanting to play Travel Baseball the cost is overwhelming for me... I do not want to be the cause of him not being able to continue what he loves most... I have a lot of pride and hate to ask for help most of the time... but without sacrifice and swallowing my pride there is no victory. We are asking for donations to help pay off this last seasons fees of $500 and hope to raise enough for next season and new equipment ( that cost can range from 1,800-2,000 alone just for the league) He's a growing boy who needs a new bat and glove. Luke has found his passion... a love for something All American! ... And he's so great at what he does! I don't want to take that from him. I don't want him to loose that smile and drive... Thank you.
