A close friend of mine recently experienced a break-in while staying at my place. Her car window was smashed, and essential equipment was stolen — including a camera and a digital recording device worth around $2,000.

She’s a photographer, and these tools aren’t just personal belongings; they’re critical to her creative work and income. On top of replacing the stolen equipment, she’s also facing the unexpected cost of repairing her car window.
