For those of you that know Michelle, you are one of the lucky ones! Her infectious smile, incredible talents and dedication to living the best life possible, have been her signature style. She has never dwelled on self-pity. (although, it would be easy for most to go there now!) We all know that life has bumps. Michelle is experiencing an insurmountable mountain at this moment in time, and yet remains strong and positive.
What distingishes her from the crowd is her ability to move forward in a postitive direction, always! We have often shared laughs about our family and their intolerance for lives void of fun and positive momentum. It has passed from generation to generation and as a result, Michelle is, as always, ready for the fight. She is amazingly happy and positive at the moment, and we can help to keep her in this place by joining together in support. It can be a simple card, a visit or a financial donation. Any outreach will help her to get through what's going to be a really difficult time.
Michelle is facing a second round of breast cancer after 26 years of living cancer free. I'm sure there was a reason for the reprieve, and I'm also sure it came in the names of Logan and Ian, her amazing sons. In addition to the breast cancer, Michelle will undergo a hysterectomy for cervicle cancer simultaneusly with the mastectomy. It truly is a double whammy!!
Michelle is a hard-working single Mom, who dedicates every day to supporting her family in the best way possible. She has succeeded in providing a beautiful, stable home while working as a self-employed Landscape Design and Build Architect. Her passion for life is evident in the beautiful designs that she continues to create, her dedication to her family and friends, and most importantly to her, the young men she has dedicated her life to love, nurture and educate, Logan and Ian. She truly is a wonder-woman.
Because of her self-employed path, her livelihood is based on commission. If she doesn't work, she doesn't earn income. There will be several stages of surgeries requiring time for healing which are sure to test her financially. While we know she will push herself to get back into the swing of things quickly, her friends, family, as well of those of you who don't know her personally but have a caring heart, can make a difference. We can give her the gift of time and the piece of mind to heal.
If you can, please give. Any amount or gesture will make a tremendous difference. Her medical bills will be unmanageable and we have the power to change this through social media and good old-fashion word of mouth.
