Please join us in celebration of National Public Works Week 2015, with the Dexter C. White 5K Walk/Run encouraging health and wellness. The Walk/Run will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 in support of college scholarships of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, a 501 (C)3 organization.
The event will start and end at Atlanta City Hall – 68 Mitchell Street, Atlanta 30303.
Registration and Check-In will open at 8 AM. The walk/run will kick-off at 9 AM.
There are 3 levels of participation:
Gold Level, Silver Level, & Bronze Level, each of these receive placement on the event banner.
Gold Level Only ($2500)
5 Registrations, Time on Stage
Material Giveaway to Registrants
Silver Level Only ($1500)
3 Registrations, Material Giveaway to Registrants
Bronze Level Only ($500)
1 Registration, Material Giveaway to Registrants
General Registration is $20. All paid registrants receive a commemorative t-shirt and water bottle.
Please make all checks payable to the Dexter C. White Memorial College Scholarship Fund.
Dexter White, was an Atlanta Department of Public Works official and sustainability advocate at City Hall. The 51-year-old Deputy Commissioner, served in key governmental roles impacting the field of Public Works. He is credited with improving the City of Atlanta's Solid Waste Services, making it's fleet more sustainable and introducing 96-gallon recycling carts in an effort to reduce Atlanta's carbon footprint. He was known nationwide for his overall contributions to Public Policy, Solid Waste Management and Public Works.
