On January 1st, Eric was taken to St. Marks Hospital due to alarming symptoms including high blood pressure, intense nausea and vomiting, and sudden shortness of breath accompanied by rapid swelling. It wasn't long before he received a grave diagnosis of stage 4 heart and kidney failure.

Eric was discharged from St. Marks after 17 days. This life-altering situation has brought about significant financial challenges, including mounting medical bills and the uncertainty of his ability to return to work soon, if at all.
