Boo Radley's Surgery

Hello, friends. Boy, I never thought I'd be creating one of these, but here goes!
Those of you who've known me for a while know how much my dog, Boo Radley, means to me, and how much we've been through together in the last few years. I rescued Boo from an abusive home in early 2011, when he was only a year old. He's been my companion through all of college and more recently, my move to Austin, Texas. Having him by my side has helped me through some very tough times.
But the past 5 years have not been without their challenges for BR. Boo Radley had a lot of behavior issues and anxieties to overcome after his troubled beginnings, and he lost an eye due to an injury about a year ago. My family and I have loved him through all of it, and he's really come a long way, but now, Boo is facing a $2,200 stomach surgery that is quite simply beyond my means.
The surgery is absolutely necessary to save his life -- he won't survive without it. My only other options are to surrender him or put him down. Of course, the latter felt completely out of the question, and my family and I agreed he isn't a good candidate for surrender -- he's a 6-yr. old, one-eyed shih tzu with a very peculiar temperament -- I can't bear the thought of him being a foster dog for the rest of his life.
So, he's going to have the surgery. And that's where you come in, I suppose! If you could spare anything at all to help pay for Boo's surgery, I would honestly and truly be forever grateful. My very special but very wonderful pup deserves a happy home and a long life, and I know he'll be forever grateful for your help, too! Thank you all so so much, even just for reading this.
