Help Michelle Beat Breast Cancer

UPDATE 4/13/24

Since my last update, Michelle has returned to the hospital with what we think is likely a postoperative complication. She has been feeling physically really terrible and mentally she’s really discouraged. It has been several days since she’s been able to eat and we’re just hoping she turns the corner soon and can return home to finish her recovery! Needless to say, this will only further add to her medical bills, so please consider sharing this if you can’t donate. Thank you everyone!

UPDATE 4/9/24

THANK YOU so much to everyone who has participated so far. We are past the halfway mark for our original goal. Michelle is at home recovering after her first surgery (last week) and has follow up next week. She will have another surgery in the upcoming weeks. She is doing well so far and in good spirits, but of course the medical bills are starting to roll in. Michelle and I have been the very best of friends (really, sisters) for 28 years. She is a rockstar mom to her two daughters, friend to all who know her, nurse, amazing auntie to my kids, and truly one of a kind.

After a routine mammogram this year, Michelle learned she has breast cancer. She’s one of the strongest people I know, and she WILL beat it. But, because our healthcare system sucks, and life is expensive, and there is no safety net…she needs our help!

Michelle will be off of work for multiple surgeries and is the primary support for her girls. She still needs to pay the bills, and more will come in thanks to medical expenses.

Let’s come together and decrease the financial burden of this awful disease for Michelle, and let her focus on what she should be: resting, recovering, and kicking cancer’s ass!
