Support Kelly's Fight Against Breast Cancer
Let me tell you about Kelly Thompson, my Transportation Secretary and friend, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer in March. She has a long road ahead of her and will need financial help for the next year or so. Kelly is one of the best. She lives alone; financially, she is the sole breadwinner for herself and her Great Dane, Daisy. She works hard, she has the most distinctive contagious laugh, and a GIANT HEART. She is a mother, grandmother, and a wonderful friend and honorable person. She needs all the emotional and financial support she can get right now.
She graduated with the class of 1985 from Livermore Falls. I know our great community can help see her through this.
She will be traveling back and forth to Augusta for treatment and surgery.
She will be going to get her port in for chemotherapy at some point next week. She will be receiving chemotherapy for the next 6 months, then get a double mastectomy. She will then receive radiation will be every day for 6 weeks after her surgery then back to Chemotherapy. She is not one to ask for financial help but at the same time would be the first to give her shirt off her back. If you cannot donate, will you please be sure to share.
