Hi friends, family, and strangers! My name is Lana Her, and I’m a Junior at Hmong American Peace Academy (HAPA) in Milwaukee, WI. This summer, I’ve been accepted into the Council of International Educational Exchange (CIEE)’s Italian Language and Culture Summer Abroad program.

This is not only VERY exciting, but it provides me with an opportunity many of those in my community don’t have. I’ve been fortunate enough to receive scholarships (which I’m VERY thankful for), but sadly, my family and I need support to cover both tuition, airfare, and other costs.

I’m sharing this all in hopes of getting your support for funding, so I can explore this up-an-coming career path, and grow my skills. I’m a high-honor roll high school student, who’s been recognized for strong leadership within my school through clubs and other activities.
