Hi, my name is Kirsty and I'm here trying to help raise funds for a cause very close to my heart.

I've recently found out that one of our school mum friends has been diagnosed with the C. She is a single parent, working so very hard to support her and her son and she is going to require time off work with very little support. She doesn't drive and will need to rely on transport/friends to get to and from hospital, which will cost a lot in itself.

She has been offered sick pay for this time but this won't cover a lot.

Our son had leukaemia a few years a go and the sudden emotional and finical impact was overwhelming! It's all the things people don't tell you about. The days of parking that cost a small fortune, the emotional support takes 12 weeks once you are on the system, the uncertainty and pressure.

I just want to give a little back to a family who deserve the world. Nadine and her son are trying to navigate this new world together and any help would be amazing. Especially on the build up to Christmas.

I will be setting myself a challenge to raise money also, so watch out for updates on this.
