Help the Atkinson family restart after house explosion

In the late hours on Wednesday evening, July 30, 2025, our family's entire life was completely shattered in a matter of sheer moments.

The Atkinson family was at home during the time. In that moment, they started smelling gas. It's within those moments of sheer seconds that the house created an explosion and caught fire. The entire house crumbled and was engulfed in flames before anyone could blink. Firefighters and police were on the scene within minutes to help assist in putting out the flames and get all members transported to local area hospitals for help.

The Family is very grateful for the neighbors who heard the explosion and were able to help two of our family members to safety. Unfortunately, they had a total of five family members who were badly burned and are in critical condition. They have all been in and out of surgeries since the incident.

The family is now faced with a heavy burden of starting over and begin recovery. A total of seven family members are now displaced and having to start all over again. Five of the adults are currently fighting for their lives and will spend a long time in the hospital. They will need assistance with large amounts of medical bills. One adult and his son were not burned, but they lost everything and are currently displaced without a home to go to. They are currently staying with others till they can figure out a permanent situation.

At this time, they are asking for help and support from the community and anyone that is able to help the family. "We also ask with God and with prayers that our family members make it through this trying time and uncertainty."

They would like to thank everyone that has been there for us already and helped in every way. The Family feels truly blessed and is forever grateful for the love and support from everyone.

Updates: Beginning, Wednesday August 13, 2025, $10,000 in additional funeral funding will be added to the GoFundMe account. Unfortunately The cousin Timmy had medical emergencys and is no longer with us. These expenses will go directly to Funeral expenses for beloved Timmy.
