2015 European Slam Tour

Hello Family and Friends!

First, I'd like to say thank you for taking the time to read why I've made this page. Basketball is not just a part of me, it is who I am. Springfield College has opened doors for me I never thought was possible and the countless hours I've put in to get better at this game every day has given me an opportunity to play in a tournament to represent the USA in Austria.

With that being said I will elaborate...

The Italian and Austrian Basketball partnerships have selected USA Athletes International as the sponsoring organization to represent the United States in the 2015 European Slam Tour in Austria, Slovenia, and Italy. The event is slated to run from May 25-June 3, 2015.

USA Athletes International is responsible for the selection of the coach and athletes that will be on the USA team. Keith Boucher (Keene State College) has been selected as the coach. Coach Boucher is working
diligently with Basketball coaches across the Country to gather recommendations identifying quality individuals to represent the USA as both player and ambassador on this 10-player roster.

I am holding an invitation because I am one of the recommended players for the team.

This event is an excellent opportunity for athletes to foster international goodwill and friendship among nations, while also promoting the game. With the exception of the US Olympic program, there are few
opportunities for athletes to experience the competition, history and culture of other countries on an international level. Established in 1992, USA Athletes International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving amateur athletes such an opportunity.

As you may have figured out, this trip is going to cost more than I can pay for. The total cost is $5000 and I am hoping I can fundraise most of the money but time is in the essence right now. I will need to know in just two short weeks if I will be able to fundraise enough to make it to the tour.

Basketball, like I've said before, is who I am. It's my passion in life and I haven't worked this hard to have money stand in the way of me and an amazing experience I've worked hard to be offered. I would like to thank you in advance for any donation you may make and for supporting me in this journey!
