We will TAKE BACK THE NIGHT, THE STREETS, OUR LIVES!
We, of the National Organization for Women at FIU (a student-run feminist activist organization) are hosting the 4th Annual Miami Slut Walk in which we raise awareness on sexual assault and dismantle the rape culture. 1 in 5 college women are sexually assaulted during their college career. 1 in 3 women in the world are raped, abused, or will be in their lifetime. 1 in 33 men are sexually assaulted before the age of 18. We want to change these statistics!
Together, let's raise money to go to M.U.J.E.R, Men and Women United in Justice, Education, and Reform. M.U.J.E.R is a domestic violence and sexual assault crisis center located in Miami, Florida. More information here: http://mujerfla.org/
We want to make changes in our community in order to foster an environment safe for all. We want to stop the American rape culture.
We hope we all can come together to greatly and positively impact our community. We would be so honored if you could be with us.
