Meet my friend, Craig Patterson. He has had one hell of a journey. Thanks to the doctors and loved ones in his life, it's not done yet.
In late 2021, during a teeth cleaning, doctors discovered what turned out to be Squamous Cell Carcinoma. At first, it was localized in Craig's tongue. After months of treatment, therapy and surgery, Craig was finally in the clear. The total expenses for that ordeal were about $158,000. Luckily, insurance covered most of that, leaving Craig with an out-of-pocket expense of about $4000 for his medical bills alone.
Life waits for no man, I guess. Craig still needed to pay his living expenses, in addition to traveling expenses from Austin to Houston, where his treatment was. After about a year, he was just starting to see the light of day.
Unfortunately, though, cancer reared its ugly head once again. This time, the Squamous Cell Carcinoma was in his tonsils and surgery wasn't a quick fix. During the past few months, Craig has been receiving radiation and chemotherapy treatments. Once again, he cannot work.
Every month Craig doesn't work, his bills pile up to the tune of about $1500 per month. Although Craig's spirits are up, it may be a while before he can get back to earning a paycheck.
With your help, he can let go of the debilitating stress of debt and focus on his health. As we are currently in the third month of the year, his expenses already have piled up to about $4500. Won't you help my friend out?
Thank you,
