***UPDATE***
Thank you all for your incredible generosity and for taking the time to share Dave’s story. We are truly grateful to announce that we have surpassed our $50,000 goal for his medical bills.
As Dave continues his recovery, we hope to keep raising funds to help cover post-surgery expenses, rehabilitation, and everyday living costs. At this time, we are uncertain when he will be able to return to work, so every contribution continues to make a meaningful difference.
We will provide updates on his progress as often as possible. Thank you again for your kindness, support, and prayers. It means a lot.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
For many years, Dave Mueller has been one of the most steady, respected, and well-liked caddies on the PGA TOUR, Korn Ferry Tour, and LPGA Tour. Players trust him and caddies respect him. Volunteers and tour officials from all tours know him by name. He is more than a caddie; he is a teammate, a mentor, and a friend to so many of us.
Recently, Dave was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor that is attached to his liver and it is affecting his liver function and bile ducts. After thorough evaluation, Dave's medical team confirmed that this diagnosis is not related to alcohol, diet, or any lifestyle factors. He is having to step away from caddying to focus fully on his treatment and recovery. He has surgery scheduled for March 2nd to hopefully remove the tumor along with part of the liver that is attached to that tumor. This procedure has sidelined Dave from his passion of caddying at the highest levels of golf.
As a caddie, time away from the Tour means no income. Between treatment costs, daily expenses, and recovery time, the financial burden is significant. The PGA Tour community takes care of its own; now it is our turn to show up for Dave the way he has always shown up on a daily basis.
Dave has walked thousands of fairways for all of us; now we're walking this one with him. Any support, whether through donating or sharing, means more than you know.
