Now, I am alone taking care of three orphaned kids

“I am alone now, with three children the eldest in first grade and the youngest is two months old!”

It will be almost 160 days since this began, my husband passed away leaving me alone raising our three kids. We ran away from bombardments and now taking shelter in one of the crowded caravans in Rafah. We ran four places before settling in this caravan. The caravan includes another 50 members of my extended family. We have been close to danger several times having to flee over and over again.

The situation here in Gaza is very disappointing, with increasing violence and deprivation, inadequate shelter and absence of the most essential services is getting worse. The continuous blockade of telecommunications and internet services makes it really hard for us to communicate with friends and relatives, adding to this the insecure movement through looking for food or shelter.

We have no hope to be alive except to leave this place until the war is over. we had a house before war, we had a yard and a neighborhood! All of it got destroyed. We only left homeless and displaced with the clothes we are wearing. With no income, no electricity, no food, no potable water , no health care, no schools or safe places and shelters; I am wondering what else will be left for us. To stay alive is the most important thing, but not here in Gaza, we need to leave and run for our lives.
