Now an Angel in the Outfield
In this tragic time during this pandemic as our loved ones pass our traditional ways to contribute and pay our respects have been stripped from us. We know you loved Joey and many of you are asking to contribute and want to show him, his family and each other how much we care for him. So how do we do that ? How do we celebrate the life of the kindest, gentlest soul we have known.
As a family we would like to contribute back to the neighborhood in his name. We thought if would be great to create a beautification site in Ridgewood Queens, the neighborhood he grew up in, on the street he visited all the time.
Our main goal for this is to have you all contribute to a memorial in his name so we can all go and visit, maybe have a slice of pizza with him from Mini Italia or Rosa’s pizza. Maybe sit and watch a yankee game or ranger game with him or just a place to reflect and remember him.
additional funds will go towards charity and a portion of the funeral expenses
I wish you all well. Your thoughts and prayers have been overwhelming. We know you all loved Joey as much as we did, how could you not? He was just that kind of person.
Stay safe.
