Hi! My name is Novie. I am a Filipina from a really poor family who moved to Netherlands as an Au Pair in 2023 and now a masters student in Amsterdam.

I am Biology graduate in a state university in our city last 2022. After working for 8 months as an R&D Specialist, an opportunity to fly to Netherlands as an Au Pair came and I got accepted and was able to stay for cultural experience for a year (2023-2024). The reason I went abroad is to provide and support my family financially in the Philippines. I am the eldest child in the family and in filipino haousehold, youre automatically the breadwinner. On my first year here in NL, I was able to provide financially and I really love the living conditions here. I wanted a brighter future for myself along with my family and I found that here, the reason I decided to study here for 2 years.

I am already on my 2nd year and supposed to be having a research project but I dont think I will be able to finish my studies on time. The tuition for a year costs 16k-17k euro a year. I juggle studies and work all days every week and I managed to pay the first year and a few months of my 2nd year. This time, I have to do a full time research project and working to financially provide my tuition fees wouldnt be possible. I now needed 9000 euros for the second half of my year.

I am really lost now and I do not now where to find that huge amount of money. I also felt guilty from time to time to not be able to give to my family. I am now desperate to ask for help. I really wanted to finish this study and hopefully acquire a regular job after studying and will be able to repay your help and specially financially provide for my family.
