Hello, on Thursday 1/11/24, my son was viciously attacked while walking home from school. They attacked him twice returning a second time after being caught and told to get away. The second time, they brutally beat my son by tacking him to the ground and stomping, kicking, punching, and dragging him. His leg is broken in more than one place and his ACL will need to be repaired. He will need around the clock care, lots of physical therapy, and won’t be able to walk for several months. The orthopedic surgeon estimates around summertime. He was sent home with a handheld urinal and cannot use the bathroom without a lot of help. He is in a tremendous amount of pain and discomfort.

He cannot be left alone for long, will have to be home schooled, and he will have many appointments which means that I will have to miss a lot of work to take care of him. I just don’t know how I am going to do it.

We are already down to our last monies as we are working class, and although we pay our bills, we don’t usually have a ton of money left over.

It’s not our style to ask for money, however I don’t see how we are going to manage without some sort of help. I’ve added up how much less I foresee earning for the duration of his care. I am praying that a miracle happens, and he heals faster than projected, so we can get back to our lives.

I also plan to buy cameras for the outside of our home as we were informed that his attackers are gang, and we feel like we need to be able to monitor things more closely.
