Nova’s Last Walk
Nova is a sweet, caring, selfless loving soul that makes every interaction memorable because of her genuine kindness, and how she makes everyone feel special during a conversation. She grew up in Oroville, California, and is 32 years young. She has two beautiful children, Brian and Madyson, Petrie (little companion), and a dedicated husband (Brian) all of which she loves and cares for tremendously. Up until 7 years ago she was a very motivated and successful Store Manager for Styles For Less and Wetseal and a Co-Mgr for Forever 21. As she was working to advance her career to care for her family, she had a life altering diagnosis that shook her world.
Nova was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma in both her sacrum and lungs. For the last 7 years she has received chemotherapy and radiation while traveling to UCSF it seems like hundreds of times to fight this cancer in hopes of winning a fear filled battle. This meant that her husband had to drive to San Francisco after work until very late hours in the night to be there for her, only to leave the next morning to be back at work to be able to pay for medical co-pays. Unfortunately, with construction's seasonal nature he has been laid off due to no work in the Oroville area. Other than the Oroville Dam repairs, of which he worked there until the Dam was repaired, and now they have no income, and are very worried. The family has chose to live with her husband's father to save what little money they can generate to keep their cell phones active to be able to support each other when not physically near one another. Then when they thought things couldn't get worse, both Nova and her husband were notified she has 2-6 months to live this last week and the family is having a very difficult time coping with this heart breaking news.
Sadly, the tumor is now wrapped around her sacrum and the nodules in both of her lungs have significantly increased in size and are now untreatable. Nova and her family are now planning for the worst and hoping for the best. With no income, Nova and our family desperately need your help and support whether it be emotional support or financial help, our family would appreciate it more than we can even say. Currently, her immediate needs are to be able to pay for her cell phone bill so she can speak to her husband, pay for the treatment and medication she desperately needs, have food for her family, and lastly complete her bucket list. With her terminal diagnosis, and her days so numbered, there are a few things in her bucket list that she wants to accomplish before she passes on. Amtrak train trip with her husband, kids, and mother.
Go Indoor sky diving.
