Friends have suggested we have a Gofundme page like last time. So here we go again. The medical bills including parking, along with monthly bills, can be overwhelming. Our family was just starting to make a comeback after recuperating from her first battle in 2019-2020. Cancer doesn't care if you are broke, rich, or if your child has already walked through the nightmare before. Nova relapsed in November 2022 after three years of being cancer free. She has two tumors in her brain and multiple in her spine. She has an MRI every two cycles to see if the cancer is responding to the chemo. A cycle for Nova is a week of chemo every day. Nova has been through 5 rounds so far and 7 cycles left. She has had two surgeries in this new battle. One for port placement and the second a port replacement. She now has an NG tube because she stopped eating and drinking. We are grateful that the tumors are currently stable and two have decreased a little. The decision to leave work and take care of her should be easy to make but it's not when the family has to lose an income. I will keep you updated on our journey.
